Probably not the look she was going for.

Mid-morning in Seattle. I’m touring the city by foot; not seeking anything, really – just kind of going where the wind blows me and then taking it all in. As I walked into the “SAM” store, I noticed a woman trying on hats. She was likely in her mid-60s, and was very terse, dark, and wealthy. (She reminded me of a stereotypical New York City fashionista – think “The Devil Wears Prada”.) She was shopping with a man who was also likely in his 60s, and who appeared to be equally wealthy; but seemed much more casual, calm, and kind. The woman slipped on a “modern” red cap (just pretend the hat in the picture below is all red; otherwise it’s a great approximation):

She then turned to the man, and very seriously asked him, “What do you think?” He look at her, equally serious, and replied, “I think you look like a big rooster.”

I turned away quickly so as not to laugh out loud. But you can believe I was grinning quite broadly as I moved to the next section of the store.
