The living room floor is littered with toddler toys.
The dining room table is overrun with a half-finished jigsaw puzzle.
Books and magazines are scattered on various chairs.
Sections of the newspaper are crammed between sofa cushions.
Dirty clothes are piled in a corner of the bedroom.
Bath toys stick to the side of the tub.
Cookies, bread, and candies have taken over the kitchen counters.
A small electric Christmas tree flashes unnatural neon colors.
I look around the house, surrounded by the happy chaos.
The scene screams of holidays with family – and I delight in it.

This is the greatest picture I have seen yet! I absolutely love it. “…the kids are making memories” describes the craft chaos all visitors see when they enter my house! What a beautiful saying! Thank so much for sharing it!!!

The ‘mess’ looks great to me too! But it is all over with too quickly and the house is suddenly very quiet! Love you all!

The time does go by very quickly; it’s a little startling being home alone tonight. I love you, too, and am so grateful for you!
