Today the temperature rose to close to 40 degrees. The sky turned a brilliant shade of blue, and wispy white clouds played in the open space. The big ball of fire we like to call the sun came out, and created little streams of melting snow along the sides of the streets. As I drove around town today, I cracked my car window just a bit, breathed in the cool-yet-clean air, and delighted in hearing the splish and splash of my tires pushing water out of the way.
It’s now back down to 33 degrees, and the sky has taken on a gray cast once again; but for a few moments today, I got to experience the brightness and aliveness of spring. I’ll take that whenever, however I can get it.
