Contrasts

On a walk today, I was making my way down a path, noting lots of brown around me (brown sticks of trees, their dead brown leaves from last fall still on the ground, brown dirt-and-rock path…), when I saw a tiny patch of color to the side.

A tiny patch of color caught my eye...can you see it?

When I got closer, these lovelies greeted me.

Two tiny purple flowers, making their way into the world. Fun!

Later in the journey, I passed by a small pond whose cover of ice is slowly melting, giving way to very cold water; and I saw a group of ducks enjoying both facets of this changing surface.

Ice on the left, water on the right...

Cool.
