Mid-morning my sweetie was watching tv, when a commercial came on:
At the end of the advertisement, I turned to my sweetie, and said (in a very sincere tone, with a very genuine expression on my face), “Hmm… I’ve had that gum, but that hasn’t been my experience…”
My sweetie looked at me for a minute. I saw his mind process (and attempt to reconcile) my silly words with my serious demeanor; and then it clicked. He laughed out loud.
And I smiled. It feels wonderful to be able to help someone laugh in their day.
