Today was a wildly productive – and yet still balanced – day for me. I went to a yoga class (pleasure), did many loads of laundry (work), took a lovely walk outside (pleasure), weeded the landscape (work), caught up on some reading (pleasure), did some yoga study (more work than pleasure), got my haircut (more pleasure than work), and ran errands to the store and to the library (equal amounts of pleasure and work).
While at the store, I saw a display of potted, flowering plants. They looked so happy, so bright, so spring-y. I slowed, taking in the sight and the smell. I then noticed the shelf label displaying the price: $2.49 per plant. I blinked. Seriously? A cup of coffee costs more than that. I checked with a store employee, who confirmed: Yup, $2.49 per plant.
Guess who got herself a new plant today. 🙂
Stef
P.S. After I put the plant on my windowsill, I noticed that it kind of looks like a big dandelion. How ironic… 🙂
If dandelions were hard to grow, everyone would be ooh-ing and ahh-ing over this gorgeous yellow flower. Mark my words —

I would have double-checked the price too – $2.49 was a steal! It looks so bright and pretty – what is it Stef?

Barb, I’m not sure what kind it is. I remember the name started with a “b”, but that’s all I can recall… 😦 [If anyone knows the name of this flower, feel free to chime in.] 🙂

yellow is such a bright and cheerful colour to have around you. It looks like a mum so you can likely plant it outside later.
