Amazing.
I was all set to post my smile from today. I opened up a new internet window, and moved my mouse towards the top of the screen where I could grab the bookmark for my blog’s admin address. As the little white pointer moved up the page, I heard a noise. I paused, and blinked. What was that?
I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary…. Hmm. Oh well, whatever. Back to the task at hand.
I moved the mouse up the screen again, and again, heard a noise – like a few music notes. What was that?
I looked at the web page I was on. I didn’t see anything too out of the ordinary. Google had a new doodle for today, but they frequently have new, cool, fun, interactive imag—
Oh-wait-a-second… I slowly moved my mouse towards the center of the screen – and immediately smiled when the doodle played me a note. I hovered over the image to see what it represented: Les Paul’s birthday.
Ah! The doodle is a guitar!
I “plucked” at each string, and happily grinned as the music hit my ears. So fun!
Then I noticed a button near the bottom of the doodle. I hovered over it, but no roll-over text appeared. So I clicked it. “Recording.”
No WAY! I created a random little tune, then clicked the button again – and was given a URL.
I opened a new web browser page, and pasted the URL into the address bar. I pressed Enter – and I’ll be darned: my song!
How freaking AMAZING is that??!!
The people at Google really never cease to amaze me. Their doodles continue to grow ever more impressive: creative, artistic, beautiful, functional, and now, personalized.
Wow. A completely unexpected, totally fun, inspirational and quirky little day-brightener. I love it!

P.S. My song is nowhere cool as this one, which is truly delightful, and gave me yet another smile.
Yup, a couple of the girls & I were playing with it today. Awesome, isn’t it? 🙂
