I had a slightly annoying occurrence take place this morning. It was certainly nothing tragic; indeed, it was more of an irritation and inconvenience than anything else…but it could have been easily avoided, so it wasn’t a really great way to start the day.
After I returned home from the above-mentioned occurrence (trying not to be peeved but still feeling a little irked), I flipped through my emails – and saw that a friend sent me a little something to help me smile:
I love this. I love the spirit of the photo; but I also love that my friend thought of me when he saw this image. And I especially love that he took the time to note this picture, and send it my way. And of course I love that a few simple scribbles, posted who-knows-where, by god-only-knows-who, traveled through tubes and wires and across space and time and ether to find their way to me, and to make me smile.
Hopefully I get to return that favor tonight, and to keep the chain going…
Talk about turning a day around. 🙂

I like that two people have actually taken a smile. Imagine taking one, slipping it into your purse and having it smiling back at you everytime you go in there 😀

I also love that a few smiles had already been taken. How cool it would be to have a little grin peeking up at you at various points in the day! A wonderful idea. 🙂
(It reminds me a bit of the “Free Hugs” people – only a bit more subtle, and therefore perhaps a bit more ‘possible’ for some people…) [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4&playnext=1&list=PL31A99892D5AF7ED9]

I absolutely love this! 🙂 I hung up a similar poster I made with compliments instead of smiles on our community mailbox a few weeks ago and was totally stoked when I went back a week later and found that all but one compliment were gone. You gotta love free happiness!

What a delightful idea, to come home and find the SMILE in your INBOX. Now that is a photo I want in my daily inbox instead of all the clutter. Thank you for coming by my blog. As I keep reading stories on your blog whether it is yours or comments, I am getting addicted. I have to add you to my blogroll. Blessings.
