Little things

Sometimes teeny, tiny things can have a big impact, and can make a huge difference in life.  A genuine smile offered to another person might be just the thing that individual needs to get through their day.  One cent placed in the “Leave A Penny” dish might be the exact amount of money the next customer needs in order to finish his or her transaction with dignity.  In the case of tea bags, the absence of a single staple and inch of string saves millions of pounds of trash – literally!

Today I appreciated this reminder that incredibly small things, done many times over the course of many days, really can change the world.

  2. sometimes we get overwhelmed with the immensity of a task or a change our world needs and find ourselves, with tear filled eyes, asking “what can I do?” thanks, for this reminder that, even the littlest of deeds can have a huge impact.

Absolutely Joss. Often (too offten?) I feel overwhelmed by what needs to change more than I feel empowered to make the change, to be the change; and it’s in these times that I appreciate remembering that every tiny action I take is one step closer to the change. And that refuels my hope. 🙂

  3. Love this idea. Gonna be more consistent with buying bags with no strings from now on.

    Thanks for sharing. 🙂
