Newton’s Third Law of Motion states: “To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction.”
It heartens me to know that amid unspeakable sadness and devastating loss, an equally powerful and comprehensive presence of love and compassion will emerge. While I would never wish for the former, I take solace in the latter.
As I was driving this morning, I unexpectedly stumbled on this quiet homage. I was moved to a place beyond words; to the place where hope and faith coexist.

A thoughtful and touching tribute. I can imagine how it must have felt to find it unexpectedly.
Powerful post! Peace.

Thanks Ruth. It’s kind of a difficult day for me – how to honor and remember the genuine tragedy (and I don’t use that word lightly or loosely), while also living in the amazingly beautiful present? I don’t know how to reconcile the two… so I’m just doing the best I can, and hoping my best is ‘good enough’.
