Supple Santa

Yesterday at work one of my sweetie’s colleagues celebrated a milestone anniversary with the company.  To help establish a festive mood, his manager brought in cupcakes for everyone to enjoy.  In addition to being delicious, these cupcakes were decked with an extra-special holiday adornment: a yoga Santa.

When my sweetie received his goodie and saw the nimble topper smiling at him, he immediately thought of me.  He brought the decoration home for my viewing pleasure – and when I saw it I laughed out loud.  It was fantastic!

I wanted to take a picture of the Santa as he appeared earlier in the day – but I didn’t have any cupcakes or muffins on hand….

…so I stuck Santa in my sandwich.

(Apparently Santa knows many asanas, as my sweetie told me that every cupcake had Santa in a different pose. I would have loved to see them all.)

It was a dandy of a sandwich.

(One pita slice is topped with red pepper hummus, the other with ripe avocado. Inside I placed a few slices of vegetarian turkey, and some Swiss cheese. Yum, yum, yum.)

Perfect fare for a yogi Santa.  🙂

I’m sure that’s what he looks like coming down the chimney.
Sandwich looks yummy. I’ll have to have one of those soon.

I hope Santa goes down the chimneys feet first – I don’t want him to break his neck! (Like diving into the shallow end of a pool – dangerous!)

The sandwich was delish; I definitely recommend it. 🙂
