Some women like to spend their money on clothes and shoes. Other women prefer to purchase jewelry or décor. I choose to spend my cash not on fancy things, but on lovely experiences (like yoga and massage). Today I received a 50-minute full body rub down from a masseuse I’ve been seeing on-and-off for several years; she is a wonderful body worker for me. She applies very firm, deep pressure to my muscles, she doesn’t shy away from glutes or feet, she doesn’t talk at all during the process, and she uses a line of salon products whose fragrance I adore. I leave each session with this woman feeling muscularly looser, emotionally lighter, and sweet-smelling to boot. Delightful. (Insert contented sigh here.)

sounds wonderful all over!

It really was Joss. If I ever won the lottery, I would hire a personal masseuse, chef, and driver – in that order. 🙂

Sounds like a wise investment in self-care. Good description and can hear the contented sigh. Well, almost!

Thanks Ruth! There are few things I enjoy in life more than a good massage…

Massage — HEAVEN.
The stronger the better. Oh, lucky you, Stef — My muscles are trying to channel you right now, and the pleasure.

Massage (and touch in general) really is divine. So “simple”, yet SO powerful…
